On View Now: SECOND NATURE

Dernier Cri announces Second Nature, the gallery’s second exhibition. Opening to the public on Friday, March 27th, this show brings together new work by artists and designers who arrived at their practice after first pursuing careers in other fields—from owning an independent record shop and working at Apple in the early days of iTunes to careers in e-commerce merchandising, fashion photography, executive search, and public relations. Though their paths to the studio were unconventional, their work emerged not as a departure but as a natural evolution.

Unveiling the Inaugural Exhibition: NIGHT SHIFT

January 29 - March 5, 2026

Unfolding in the dark depths of winter, Night Shift gathers works united by a single premise: each is rendered entirely in black. For this debut, Dernier Cri founder Michael McGraw has commissioned a select group of artists and designers to create new work in which darkness becomes both subject and medium. A study in how absence reveals presence, these pieces explore the artistry of restraint, illuminating how form, texture, and light shift within the limits of a single hue.
